Xinran Wang

Xinran Wang, is the Executive Vice President of Engineering at Obsidian Security, and former VP of Engineering at F5 Networks, who has 20 years of extensive experience in research and development of security and anti-fraud. Previously, he was the SVP of Engineering at Shape Security, which was acquired by F5 Networks for $1bn. Xinran has published many papers, presented at top security conferences, and holds 20 US patents in malware and bot detection, cloud, and mobile security. He earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science from Penn State University, focusing on system and software security, which inspired a startup company even before his graduation.
